Data Analyst | FEC Strategy Insights

Would you like to be the driving force behind data to identify client integrity risks at Rabobank from a Financial Economic Crime (FEC) perspective?
You will get a responsibility with impact, one you will shape as Data Analyst through the realisation of crucial insights. Your position finds itself in an environment which helps to create data-driven insights into one of the spearpoints of the bank for FEC (Financial & Economic Crime). Your responsibilities contribute to the decision-making process up to the highest level in the bank.

You & your Job
As Data Analyst you work in a team that is situated in a rapid changing and challenging environment (i.e. external regulatory demands, new innovations, compliance requirements). We expect you to bring your senior experience in building new data solutions and developing and designing Power BI dashboards, that meet the needs of our stakeholders and align with the vision of our Data & Insights Area within FEC Tech.
There are several teams working within FEC, together we help reducing criminal activities and can be regarded as the gatekeepers of the financial system. You will be part of a team that consists of data analysts and engineers.

Practical example
A stakeholder has an urgent need in having a better understanding on how future regulation would impact the client portfolio. You actively help formulating the problem statement, understanding the business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions such as a Power BI dashboard.

Top Responsibilities
• Data exploration and analysis. Conduct thorough data exploration and analyze data to extract meaningful insights and support decision-making
• Develop, design, and maintain complex Power BI dashboards
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solution
• Business Understanding. Gain a deep understanding of the FEC domain to contextualize data analysis
• Perform data modelling, ETL processes, and DAX calculations to ensure accurate and efficient data representation

The Area Data & Insights is a new area within FEC Tech, bringing together a variety of expertise to deliver those insights not available within operational systems and models. As such, it plays a key role in ensuring all FEC departments have the insights needed to deliver on their End-to-End responsibilities in safeguarding our customers, the bank and society by detecting and preventing financial and economic crime. The 150 colleagues of FEC Tech Area Data & Insights are waiting for you to join our team. It’s up to you to help them provide the data & insights needed for FEC. In this, collaboration is central to our way of working as a professional and results oriented team within Rabobank.

You & your talent
1. Bachelor or Master Degree
2. Extensive experience in Power BI development (5+ years)
3. Experience with PySpark, SQL, Databricks
4. Strong analytical skills. Ability to analyse complex topics, identify patterns, and extract meaningful insights to support decision-making
5. Stakeholder collaboration. Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into impactful data solutions
6. Quick information assimilation. Ability to rapidly learn and pro-actively gain understanding of the FEC domain
7. Ability to maintain a keen eye for detail while simultaneously understanding and integrating the broader context and overall strategy
8. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders and cross-functional teams
