Vattenfall Heat Projects develops and realizes all of Vattenfall's new-build heating plant projects in The Netherlands, United Kingdom and Swed
The Engineering Department within Heat Projects consists of an international team of highly qualified engineers from different disciplines and is responsible for the technical integrity of the newly built heating plants.
For each project, a selected project team manages the development and execution processes and coordinates the realization, commissioning and hand-over of the new plants to the future operator in consultation with the stakeholders.
In addition, the engineering department supports the projects with schedule preparation, investment cost estimation and quality management.
In order to support the development and implementation of our technical activities in an extensive project portfolio, we are looking for a quality manager for our project portfolio in all regions. The position will be a secondment for one year.
YOUR TASKS AS A QUALITY MANAGER
● Develop, implement and maintain quality management processes and procedures for asset and infrastructure type projects. This should ensure technical integrity, but also meeting all requirements regarding compliance (e.g. PED, CE, ATEX).
● Supporting projects regarding quality management during engineering and contracting.
● Supporting projects in reviewing Inspection and Test Plans, Quality Plans, Test Plans, Test Reports, Quality Documentation for both manufacturing as well as on site construction.
● Support projects with trouble shooting quality issues.
● Support projects by hiring external quality assurance and control staff and services and steering these resources on content.
You will working on multiple projects in a consulting role. You will provide the project managers, engineering managers and site managers with your findings and recommendations. You will report to the Line Manager Site Execution within the overarching engineering organization.
YOUR PROFILE
Our ideal candidate has a relevant University (MSc) degree mechanical engineering.
You can speak and write Dutch and English fluently.
Your personal characteristics and competences:
● You have at least 10 years of professional experience in quality management of capital projects in energy, oil & gas or chemical industry.
● You are a team player and have good communication skills.
● Your professional skills include a sound knowledge of quality management and obtaining authority approvals for realisation of power and heat generation plants and/or process plants.
● Your personal competencies include leadership qualities and analytical skills. You are able to create a structured way of working for yourself, your team and external experts and contractors.
● You are self-propelling.
● Frequent travelling is no problem for you.
it involves a management role towards hired quality managers in different projects. Seniority is therefore a requirement (>10 years of experience in quality management, specifically for process plants (PED, ATEX, CE).Biggest challenges in this role: shaping and implementing quality management in an international projects in Sweden, UK and the Netherlands.Hybrid work, regular travel (1..2 times a month for 2-3 days) is also part of it.
LOCATION
The Netherlands, Amsterdam.
You will be visiting projects and offices a frequently. Working from home when not travelling is possible.
