Description Vacancy : Senior DevOps Engineer (Python) - IAM Orchestration

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with at least 5 years of experience, ready to show off their Python skills! Besides plenty of experience with Python, we are looking for a creative personality who values (the creation of) standards and has a proactive attitude with respect to automation, testing and security. You must have experience working in Agile teams (Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework).

You will be joining the IAM (Identity & Access Management) Orchestration team, which is positioned as a middle layer within Tribe IAM and aims to abstract away the complexity of IAM processes and automate service delivery by using RESTful APIs. IAM Orchestration is a fast-moving team, that currently consists of four DevOps Engineers, one Business Analyst, one Solution Architect, 1 Scrum Master and 1 Product Owner. With the release of new, innovative IAM tooling the need for automation within the department is picking up, hence the search for a new colleague.
When working in IAM Orchestration, you will be tasked to come up with creative solutions to the use cases that present themselves not only within our own department, but to also find solutions for use cases outside of our tribe which will require IAM services. The solutions that you create need to be resilient, scalable, secure, and easily understandable from an end user perspective.

As part of your responsibilities, you will be developing REST APIs that reflect business processes and encourage automation IAM related workflows, maintaining and improving the team’s code base, and helping customers (business & development teams) with onboarding and leveraging the APIs to increase the delivery speed and standardization of our services.
You should be experienced in Python, with a focus on the development of REST APIs (in the FastAPI framework specifically), be familiar with API testing best-practices, and be able to take the next step when it comes to software development best practices (code modularity, reuse, structure and standards) and be able to explain our service offering to non-technical people as well. Furthermore, we host our application in AWS, so thorough knowledge of components such as AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, Cloud Formation template and DynamoDB are required to hit the ground running and to keep our tech stack secure.

You and your talent
Must have skills
• Proficiency in Python (including testing best-practices, 5+ years) 

• Solid grasp of AWS (Lambda, Dynamo, CloudFormation, S3 etc) 

• Thorough understanding of REST APIs 

• Sound knowledge of DevOps (we use Azure DevOps) 

• Effective problem-solving abilities • Good relationship builder • Organisational Sensitivity

Nice to have Skills
• Comfortable and adept with explaining technical concepts to non-technical people 

• IAM experience

 • Experience with development of Azure DevOps pipelines
