Senior Murex Migration Analyst Developer (Integration Services – Migration Tooling)
Utrecht/London

The position
Rabobank has embarked on a transformation programme to implement a new Front-to-Back-to-Risk (FtBtR) trade processing platform based on the Murex product which can support current and future business requirements at a significantly lower cost than the fragmented landscape in place today. The Integration stream in particular is responsible for the integration of the existing IT systems with Murex MX.3 platform (including any associated reconciliations) and also for creating the tooling required to migrate business objects from existing systems to the new platform.

As an Analyst Developer in the Migration Tooling team of the Integration stream of the FtBtR Programme you will be co-designing and developing the migration tooling software required during the various phases of the programme. The primary focus of this role is on trade migrations and as such you will have comprehensive knowledge of Financial Markets products combined with programming skills to transform data to the required target data format. Additional knowledge of Murex Workflows and Datamart would be an advantage, as would broader knowledge of Java and SQL development.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities are:
• Working closely with the Front Office, Back Office and Risk business to understand migration requirements and translating these into technical solutions
• Designing solutions in line with all relevant technical standards and with an emphasis on long-term supportability
• Investigate, and propose solutions on functional suggestions made by stakeholders
• Unit testing and preparation of software releases for use in the various migration cycles
• Working closely with Business Analysts, Architects and existing system IT representatives, gathering their input and collaborating to reach optimum results
• Working closely with Test Analysts to construct relevant tests for migration tooling
• Working according to the agile framework in place for the project team

Key performance indicators are:
• Creating Datamaps and validation rules for products in scope of migration
• Development and maintenance of code using the appropriate toolsets
• Working in an agile framework, establishing new procedures and methods where needed
• Promoting DevOps themes throughout the development lifecycle, such as continuous integration, automated testing, test driven development and continuous delivery
• Meet delivery dates, work to required standards providing business functional and technical documentation
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to other Developers
• Implementation of standards (project and process) and provide direction for other team members
• Provide feedback for lessons learnt from projects and support tasks

The systems developed and managed by W&R Tech are used not only in the Netherlands, but also by Rabobank entities in the rest of Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia.

The domain of W&R Tech Markets & Treasuy Tribe is responsible for the development and management of all IT applications for the Markets and Treasury departments, as well as the corresponding Product Control, Back Office and Risk departments associated with Financial Markets. Our department ensures that the systems of Rabobank locations among others New York, Singapore, Sydney and Sao Paolo are available 24 hours a day.

Essential
• Extensive experience of working in an international Financial Markets organisation
• Broad knowledge of Financial Market Instruments and their P&L, Risk Management and Operational requirements
• Proficient in Murex MX.3 transaction representations (Package/Contract/Component)
• Experience of working with Murex MX.3 including knowledge of core modules and system architecture
• Good knowledge of Capital Markets and Treasury Front Office trade execution, capture and P&L reporting


Desirable
• Murex Datamart Reporting and Batch Processing Development
• BoRepo API

Technical Skills

Essential
• Expert knowledge in Murex MxML formats for various business objects
• Languages: SQL, XSLT (DTDs), VBA, Freemarker
