As a manager FOS KYC you lead by example and provide overall leadership and oversight of your team. You inspire the KYC Associates in your team on a daily basis to get the most out of themselves. Together we ensure that we have insight into who our customers are, to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing and to protect the bank’s reputation.

You & your role
KYC Associates are the right hand of our Bankers, in all KYC-related matters. We do this by combining our knowledge of KYC with customer service, and stakeholder management skills. We are also a sparring partner for the KYC analysts (who work in CFECO domain), create information requests, and ensure that all our clients – internal and external – are supported. In the role, you will also invest a lot of time in the personal development of the team, so that they are ready to take the next step within the bank in the long term.

Together with your team you can make an indispensable contribution to the servicing of our clients at Wholesale & Rural, Europe & Africa in a compliant and controlled manner

Responsibilities
You are responsible for the direct management and coaching of a team of 5 sector leads and indirectly approx. 25 FOS Associates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
You take care of the planning and division of work (onboarding and reviews), and are responsible for the realization of team objectives and reaching operational targets on an ongoing basis.
You are able to generate and manage high performance within the team as well as managing expectations from a diverse stakeholder field. You are able to cope simultaneously with commercial pressure and operation excellence and being in control.
Under your leadership, the team continuously develops on content and skills that enable them to successfully manage the client portfolio on time and with the required quality.
You are responsible for ensuring that processes are followed and take the initiative to continuously improve.
You are the point of escalation for the sector leads and also for the operational managers within CFECO that manage the KYC analysts.
You inspire and motivate people to (continue to) develop, creating a team that can and wants to use growth opportunities.
You work closely with the Reporting lead and maintain contacts with many relevant stakeholders.

You & your talent
- A completed Master’s degree, preferably in the financial-economic or legal field.
- Experience in operationally managing and (substantively) coaching your team of sector leads of in a result-oriented environment.
- A keen eye for data (you are able to recognize trends beyond the data). Good MI skills, including being an Excel wizard, and proficient in using tools such as Firebird and PowerBI.
- Knowledge of primary banking processes, (wholesale) products and systems. Experience with TCF/Sponsor Coverage/Leveraged Lending is a welcome bonus
- Good command of English language in word and writing – Dutch is a bonus.
- Previous and proven successful people leader/management experience is essential
