DevOp Python Engineer
You will collaborate closely with fellow Python developers, receiving support from digital infrastructure experts, software architects and domain experts. Together, you’ll ensure that the applications are fully functional and adhere to our coding standards. These applications play a vital role in optimizing electricity grid usage, identifying anomalies, and proactively addressing them.
Our Grid Quality Management LV team (GQL) is a dynamic group consisting of developers, a dedicated Product Owner, and an Architect. Our mission focuses on developing solutions to process and analyze smart meter data in the low voltage network for risk assessment. GQL is a DevOps team, which means we are responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining our own applications.
Our technology stack consists of: Python, Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, Tekton, Elasticsearch, ArgoCD, Postgres and GitHub, enabling us to build robust and efficient solutions to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving energy landscape.
At GQL, we are committed to a set of core values that guide our work and define our culture:
- Code Quality: We take pride in our code. We strive for excellence and believe in delivering high-quality solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: We are open to feedback and always seek ways to improve ourselves and our work every day.
- Equality: We value diversity and promote an inclusive environment where everyone's voice is heard and respected.
- Autonomy: We trust our team members to take ownership of their work and make decisions that drive us forward. We operate in an Agile environment with two-week sprints and embrace the Scrum framework.
Must-Have:
- Experienced in Python programming (at least 3 years);
- 3+ years of relevant working experience;
- Experience with DevOps, familiar with Tekton, ArgoCD, Github Actions;
- Experience with Kubernetes;
- Experience in software engineering, including design patterns, testing;
- Knowledge and experience in (streaming) data solutions;
- Experience with event driven microservice architecture.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in dashboarding or front-end development;
- Knowledge of power system modeling, including power flow, short circuit analysis, and state estimation;
- Familiarity with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques;
- Knowledge of Scrum;
- Bachelor's in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
